Girls' Generation (I Got a Boy)
Girls' Generation (Korean: 소녀시대; Sonyuh Shidae) 'is a South Korean girl group formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2007. They are also referred to as SoShi (소시) or SNSD, both abbreviated forms of the group's Korean name, and are known in Japan as Shoujo Jidai. The nine member group consists of Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun.
I Got A Boy is the fourth Korean studio album (sixth overall) by South Korean girl group Girls' Generation. It will be released on January 1, 2013, by SM Entertainment. The album, which contains recordings dating back to 2008, is the first Korean album by the whole group after a fourteen-month hiatus after a sub-unit of members Taeyeon, Tiffany and Seohyun released an EP in April 2012 and the group released their second Japanese album, Girls' Generation II: Girls & Peace. Member Seohyun explained the album strays away from the group's usual releases with the album being described as a "time machine" which explores the group's past and future.
